CMHC-I
Hello, I’m Hannah!
I am so happy you are here! Taking the step to reach out for help isn’t always easy, but every day I am able to see just how rewarding and life-changing that brave step can be. I am currently a CMHC-I, graduating in a few short months with my Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality from Brigham Young University- Hawaii, with a minor in Psychology. After being in the hospitality industry for three years, I could no longer push aside the call towards being a helper on a deeper level.
My natural inclination is to be warm, compassionate, patient, and approachable. I believe that healing is possible with devoted effort, and I aim to have my hope for you shine bright and spread contagiously in our sessions. I approach various roadblocks through a blended lens of existential-humanistic theory, CBT, ACT, and Attachment Theory. Additional specialties of mine include coping with life-altering chronic illness diagnoses and disabilities, and from my years working and studying in Hawaii, I maintain a high level of cultural intelligence and awareness.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I enjoy lake days and park visits with my husband and two Australian Shepherds, trying new restaurants, making fresh pressed juices, and quality family time.
