Hi, I’m Miranda Blenkinship!
—a proud Louisianian, Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and lifelong believer in the power of stories. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Before becoming a counselor, I spent five years as an elementary teacher, supporting students across grade levels and discovering how deeply I value connection, creativity, and emotional growth.
My journey to the therapy room was guided by a calling to help others feel seen and supported. That calling, along with Brené Brown’s words—“One day your life story will be someone’s survival guide”—led me to pursue this work with my whole heart.
In sessions, I blend my training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) with expressive arts and child-led play therapy to help clients process trauma and reconnect with themselves. I believe therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and tailored to who you are. Whether you’re a child, teen, or adult, I strive to meet you where you are—with curiosity, compassion, and creativity.
My experience as a teacher helps me integrate psychoeducation into sessions, making it easier to understand emotions, symptoms, and coping tools. I have additional experience working with trauma in children and eating disorders, and I enjoy helping clients of all ages find new ways to explore their inner world.
If you’re looking for a space to feel heard and understood—and maybe even to create along the way—you’re in the right place.
When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll usually find me outside with my husband and our two dogs, or elbow-deep in something creative—baking, painting, or throwing pottery.
